I am sure you would all wish to join me in wishing Ms. Mary Cummins a long, happy, healthy and fulfilling retirement. Mary, who was one of the longest-serving members of the School’s staff taught for over thirty years as class teacher and more recently as learning support/resource teacher.

Laces: Weekend homework for boys and a chance for dads to remember their childhood……
We are having problems with untied laces at school. Now, while not a big issue, it is important that if boys have laced shoes that they can tie them. Otherwise, please use shoes with a Velcro strap.
Tying laces- a bit like learning to cycle a bike- can be one of those soft skills which are difficult to acquire. I recall having difficulty learning it. Peeling boiled potatoes is another skill which does not come easy to everybody- I recall my late father saying one day at the table “a fella who can drive an aeroplane and can’t peel a spud”!
