Before we got an bhuiséad, we had the Cáinfhaisnéis as the focal gaelach for the budget. It is refreshing and reassuring to see that class size has not been hit in the budget on this occasion. The campaign to preserve class size from stricture was well organised and credit must go to Brendan O’ Sullivan INTO President whose idea it was to initiate an alliance of stakeholders to fight the campaign.
Moreso though it was you, the Parents, who by your presence at meetings or perhaps at the rally in Marlborough St. who deserve much of the credit for what must count as good long-term thinking on behalf of the Government. I write the foregoing as Principal Teacher solely.
