A new batch of photographs has been uploaded onto the School Gallery this evening which give some flavour of the current happenings in the School
- Chickens outside Mrs. Fanning’s Senior Infant Classroom
- Drumming with David Day
- The inaugural swim by the ducklings in the school yard
- Sunflower planting
There are also some photographs of the Midland site Office being hoisted onto lorries from the Senior Boys Site. This is the beginning of the end of the building project as we embark on the final stages of the Joint Building Programme.
Another unusual photograph is of a candle sitting on the middle of a multi-coloured tablecloth. This picture is significant as it is of the room where the first meeting of Rainbows was held in the School. Rainbows is a peer-support group which offers support for children and young people who may have experienced loss in their lives through the death of a parent, sibling or near-relative or through parental separation. I want to thank Ms. Haverty and Ms. Kelly who are facilitating this, the first such group in the School which comprises boys from 2nd class. We hope to make the programme available to more boys during the next school year. For more on Rainbows, please go to http://www.rainbowsireland.com/
