Mrs. Duffy’s soon-to-be- big-first-class-boys were treated to a cartoon workshop last Friday by Graeme Keys who must be the bane of every politician’s life. This was a great treat for the boys- and the School- and it was very educative to see a way of communicating very effectively using only pictures. I am afraid I might have been caricatured myself!
Our leavers’ Mass and graduation ceremony on Friday last was a special occasion as we say goodbye to the class of 2012 (to use that americanism!). Thanks to our celebrant Fr. Pat McManus, and to ALL the staff who have a had a hand in forming these boys. We wish them and you, their parents the very best as you strive to scale the higher peaks of the Senior School!
Our tours were a great success- the infant classes used local resources and had a fantastic time in St. Anne’s Park- as one Parent said to me – why would you spend half your day on a bus when you could spend the entire time in a local, safe, inexpensive and physically invigorating location?
The McCaughey School of Speech and Drama held their concert on last Thursday- it was a magnificent evening, made very special by the punch and Judy arcade (?) fashioned by the redoubtable bespoke craftspersons Downey & Martin.
Photographs of some of these items appear in the gallery on the School website
