Wednesday 14th October was designated “Bug Busting Night”
by the Parents Association and the School Staff.
The idea is that all parents will check their child’s head/hair and carry out the bug busting procedure if necessary. You should also check the scalps of all your children including those who do not attend this school.
Basketball Coaching Session: The first of our extra-curricular activities this year took place on Monday 20th September when two coaches from the Shamrock Rovers – Hoops basketball team, Two coaches spent the day with us teaching the boys some of the skills of the game. This has always been an exciting day and so it proved to be again. The boys enjoyed themselves and for the last 40 minutes of the day we had a demonstration of skills from the coaches.
Music in the Classroom: On Thursday 21st October we all visited the Helix Theatre for a performance of “Music in the Classroom”. This feast of music, dance and song is organised by the Irish Times in conjunction with the RTÉ Concert Orchestra conducted by Gearóid Grant.
GOAL Jersey day: We took part in the GOAL Jersey Day on Friday October 1st. We raised €1,050.
West Midlands Children's Theatre visited the school on Tuesday 16th November.
The Helix: On Friday 17th December we all went to the Helix theatre in D.C.U. to see the Show “The Adventures of Young Santa”. We all had a great time.
Reptile Zoo! This is a mobile unit from the Reptile Village in Gowran, Co. Kilkenny, and it visited us on Monday and Tuesday 25th and 26th January.
